End Point Assessment (EPA)

The End Point Assessment (EPA) ensures apprentices are fully prepared for the Urban Driver role. This evaluation includes:

The Knowledge Test, a multiple-choice assessment covering driving regulations, vehicle safety, customer service excellence, and the handling of goods, to test the apprentice’s theoretical understanding of the role.

The Work-Based Project, where apprentices demonstrate their ability to conduct safe and timely deliveries, address customer inquiries professionally, perform vehicle checks, and adapt to dynamic operational challenges.

The Professional Discussion, a structured conversation with an assessor, exploring their problem-solving abilities, communication skills, adherence to safety protocols, and overall competency in professional vehicle operation.

Each component is graded separately, and apprentices must pass all elements to complete the apprenticeship. Distinctions are awarded for exceptional performance. SP Training’s comprehensive program equips apprentices with the qualifications and skills, including Category C or C1 licenses and the Driver CPC, to succeed in this vital role.
