Course Structure & Content

ADR Training Course Overview

The course runs over four days (Core, Packs & 7 Classes) or five days (including Tanks) and includes exams. It is Driver CPC accredited, with two free CPC days funded by the government and the option to add two more for £8.75 per day (DVSA upload fee).

Course Modules

  • Core Module (Compulsory) – ADR principles, legal requirements, and emergency procedures.
  • Packages Module (Compulsory) – Covers labelling, packaging, and transport of dangerous goods.
  • Tanker Module (Optional) – Required for transporting bulk liquid hazardous materials.

Hazardous Goods Covered

  • Class 2 – Gases (propane, butane, oxygen)
  • Class 3 – Flammable Liquids (petrol, diesel)
  • Class 4 – Flammable Solids (matches, magnesium)
  • Class 5 – Oxidising Substances & Organic Peroxides (hydrogen peroxide)
  • Class 6 – Toxic & Infectious Substances (pesticides, medical waste)
  • Class 8 – Corrosive Substances (battery acid, sulphuric acid)
  • Class 9 – Miscellaneous (asbestos, lithium batteries)

Note: Explosives (Class 1) and Radioactive Materials (Class 7) require a separate ADR course

Course Pricing & Funding Options

We offer two ways to access this essential ADR training: Government-funded training through the Skills Bootcamp programme or a commercial payment option.

This course is eligible for Skills Bootcamp funding, making it an affordable way to gain your ADR qualification.

Self-Employed:

  • Sole Trader or Partnership – £0 (subject to business type).
  • Employee of Your Own Company – £61.27 (subject to business type).

Employed & Upskilled by Your Employer:

  • Employer Contribution (under 250 employees) – £61.27
  • Employer Contribution (250+ employees) – £183.81

If you do not qualify for government funding, you can still book this ADR training at the commercial rate of £595.
