What are LGV Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are intense training courses designed to quickly train individuals in the skills required to drive HGV/LGV vehicles. The aim is to tackle the HGV/LGV driver shortage that is impacting the supply lines in the UK. These Skills Bootcamps driving will train applicants to be ‘road ready’ with either a Category C (Rigid) or Category C&E (Articulated) licence, as well as upgrades to ADR Dangerous Goods.

Cost
You can recruit Skills Bootcamps graduates at no cost to your business. If you are training your current employees, you will need to make a training cost contribution of 10% or 30%, depending on your business size.

Upskill Current Workforce

Skills Bootcamps are training courses for adults aged 19+.

Novice to Cat C (Rigid) or Cat C+E (Articulated) licence.
Upgrades: Cat C (Rigid) to Category C&E (Articulated), ADR Dangerous Goods.
Development: Transport Manager CPC.

COSTS:
Smaller Employers (up to 250 employees) 90% funded training.
Larger Employers (over 250 employees) 70% funded training.

Novice to CAT C (Rigid) or Novice to CAT C+E (Artic)

These Skills Bootcamps are designed to take drivers with a Category B licence and get them road ready with a Category C or a Category C+E Licence.

Ideal for those who employ light commercial vehicle drivers or warehouse staff and would like to upskill them to LGV drivers. The programme includes the cost of medical, theory & practical tests.

You can also refer potential new employees and receive 100% funding!

Licence Upgrade - CAT C licence holders upgrade to CAT C+E (Artic)

Do you already employ Category C (Class 2) drivers who are ready to take the next step?

This Skills Bootcamp is a shorter programme with only 5 days practical training followed by a test. Businesses can also refer Class 2 drivers that are potential future employees and receive 100% funding.

ADR Skills Bootcamp

ADR - Dangerous Goods

A comprehensive course covering the steps required to obtain certification required by HGV Drivers to transport dangerous goods by road: ADR Core, ADR Hazard Classes, ADR Goods in Packages & ADR Goods in Tanks.

Candidates must hold category C HGV licence and be aged 19+, in employment and employer supported.

Upon completion of the course you could progress into a a HGV driving / delivery role in the carriage of dangerous goods by road.

Transport Manager CPC

The Transport Manager CPC in Road Haulage is for anyone aspiring to excel in the logistics and transportation industry.

This qualification is a mandatory requirement for anyone looking to operate a commercial transport business or take up a role as a Transport Manager within the UK and the EU.

The CPC qualification underscores a comprehensive understanding of the legal, business, and financial aspects of running a transport operation, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in the logistics chain.
